Special request
I'm new here and will definately introduce myself shortly in the new members section; however, I have a special request I'm hoping someone here can assist with.
My father in law (retired Air Force Senior Master Sgt.) had a major stroke about 6 months ago.
He's a tough ole' guy and I think he's going to do well all things considered.
My mother in law just purchased a 2007 Dodge Caravan wheelchair conversion.
She keeps forgetting to turn her headlights on in the evening and the streets are so well lit around here that she doesn't really notice. Frankly, she has so much on her plate at the moment, that I'm surprised that she remembers to breathe!
Anyway, I'd like to activate or install, DRL's on the van to simplify her life just a little bit.
I've searched the forum prior to posting but didn't really find an answer to this specific question.
I'd like to do this for her/him in the next day or two so any input from your team would be quite helpful.
Thanks in advance
Gordon

Hey Gordon
This really has nothing to do with you installing DRL's on the van but a safety issue that I have had with my moms van... Her van is a rear wheelchair entry and they have moved the back part of the floor lower to the ground so the rubber brake line will rub on the axle while traveling down the road. And the burst like it did when my mom was driving... I just wanted you to know that their was a problem.. All I did was replace the line and then twist it so it wouldn't rub the axle anymore... My uncle is in a wheel chair so he is always in the back.. Nobody was injured nor did they crash but what if??
Also kinda lost me on the DRL??? what are you trying to install???

I'm sorry. DRL=Daytime Running Lights/headlights.
Mother in law is not used to driving, husband did 98% of the driving.
Also, the Buick they have has DRL's and the lights are on day/night regardless (they didn't disable the feature) so she doesn't have to think about it.
I'm afraid with everything she has going on at the moment, and the lighting condition in the areas she normally operates in, that she'll forget to turn the lights on and get hit.
Thanks for the heads up on the brake line. Her's is a side entry Caravan and I don't think the floors been lowered; however, I'll be looking at it more closely this weekend and I'll definately check that out!
Thanks again and if anyone has some info on the DRL's, please advise.
Going to call the dealership tomorrow.
Thanks,
Gordon
