Default 2004 dodge caravan front blower

Hey,

I have a problem with my front blower in my 2004 caravan......it just stopped working. First thought was a fuse, but fuses under the hood checked out fine. Any ideas on what could be happening here and what I can do about it? Also, is there an interior fuse box, can't seem to find one.

did you ever think that the blower motor itself failed? It's amazing how electric motors work then suddenly fail.

It is usually the blower motor resistor (located behind the glove box). The resistor fails because the blower motor is drawing too much current. If a test light shows power to both terminals of the blower motor, you need to replace the blower motor and the resistor. Installing a blower motor is a pain in the butt...FYI.

if the blower motor resitor fails, you still have high speed. because high completely by-passes the resistor!

If the thermal blows, which is what fails, you lose all speeds. This is the wiring diagram for an '04 manual temp control system.
