2000 Dodge caravan keyless entry question.
Ok, I have read a bunch of threads on this, but I havent found the information that I am looking for. Hopefully someone can help me before I go insane.
Ok, I have a 2000 Grand Caravan. The van has power door locks and it does have the feature that automatically locks the doors at a certain speed, but did not come standard with keyless entry. I have phsysically checked and found that it does not have the RKE module, but it does have the blue 6-pin connector for it (4 wires coming out of the connector).
Since I do have the connector, I went to the wrecker yard and found a RKE for the vehicle it has the number GQ43VT16R (same blue connector) and I have a remote with the number GQ43VT17T.
My problem is, I have plugged in the RKE module and I have tried to have it recognize my remote but I cant seem to get it to do anything. Is there some other piece to the puzzle that I need to get? I didnt notice that the vehicle I removed the RKE from had any additional wires. Is there another module I needed to grab? Has this been done before and if so, is there already a thread on this subject that I couldn't find?
Thanks.

Not much to it. 6 pin connector with 4 wires. Pin 3 is a pink wire, should have 12 volts all the time. Pin 4 is a black with light green tracer and is ground. Pin 5 is a dark blue wire and is the wire the BCM grounds to put the system into program mode. Now weather you can ground that wire yourself and get a fob to program, not sure, maybe 70 charger can try it. Pin 6 is a light green wire with a red tracer. It is the wire the BCM uses to talk to the RKE module. Pin 5 on the rke goes to pin 37 of the C1 connector of the BCM which is down by the drivers left foot. Pin 6 of the rke goes to pin 4 of the C1 BCM connector. Should have continuity in both of those wires. If all are good, probably bad RKE module.
