Dodge van emergency brake
The emergency brake must need adjustment. Did not pass inspection.
Looked under van, no place for adjustment. Someone said the rear drums
need to come off--other person said special tool necessary to adjust from
the rear..HELP!!

The early vans had a adjustment, but the new vans have no adjustment. (1996- ) The adjustments you can make, are the rear brake shoes or the park brake shoes for rear disc. Does the pedal go all the way to the floor? Also need to know what year the van that you are having problems with. You may have to replace the ratchet assy.
