Default switch on - ignition time - caravan 93

hello

I have my old but goodie Dodge Caravan 1993 / 3.3 / 6 CL / FWD / Blue

I remember there was a time when I switch-on, it used to sound a "bell" and the front panel lights were on, "checking functions" I guess, after it the lights and the bell turn off, only the handbrake or "door" light alarm is on . I understand this is natural yes if there's some failure the Check GAGES or Check Engine could appear. whatever...

This happens in a lot of cars I've known, you switch on and the "bell" sounds and the front panel lights on then .. after it you proceeed to turn --on the engine - ignition.

is this the right way to switch on the ignition?

to wait the bell stops and the front-panel lights turn off to proceed switch on the engine?

other people just switch-on- ingition even when the "bell" sounds and the lights in panel are flashing or are on.

Thank you forgive my grammar my english is not good no no .. thank you again!!

Just fire it up, don't worry about the bells and lights. If something is wrong, the light will stay on.
