Default 2003 Dodge Caravan -- Clunking during Downshift

My 2003 Dodge Caravan was low on trans fluid and would not shift into gear. Fluid was added and it was supposed to be compatible with Mopar. I now have a clunking noise when downshifting around 25 mph. Could this be a solenoid needed or do I need some kind of "reset"? Help!

First i find out what the leak is or was and fit it, then do transmission service with filter. And also ck with dealer and see if there a update for the TCM and PCM.

If the trany was low enough on fluid to log a code for loss of prime, you will need to have the codes removed then have a quick learn performed.

those trany's are known for leaking around the valve body selenoid pack.

hopefully it was atf +4 that was added and not something else like Dexron or Mercon with additives to make it "like" atf +4

here is a list of
Licensed ATF+4® Brand Names

If you are having a loss of prime code, you need to find the leak and repair. Because if you don't the transmission will keep going into limp-in mode.
