Default 05 caravan airbag light is on?

dealer said that the front impact sensor is bad and the wiring harness to it. $215. Im a do-it-youselfer, bought the parts, but now not sure which sensor to replace? I see the two sensor on the side. But the wire color doesnt match the harness i bought? Is there sensors in the middle that im not seeing? how many front sensors are there?

Thks, 2005 dodge caravan. NO recalls.

FYI- the new harness colors are. 1 white and 1 purple both solid colors.

The right and left supplemental front airbag sensors must be replaced and the
sensor harness connectors must be inspected and replaced, if necessary.

Match the wire colors on the connectors to the tracer on the harness. White to white and purple to purple. And you should replace both of them.

the connector package you have has a purple wire and a white wire. the harness colors on the left impact sensor are light blue with a purple tracer and light blue with a white tracer. You attach the purple wire to the wire with the purple tracer. White wire to the wire with the white tracer. The harness colors on the right impact sensor are purple with a light blue tracer and white with a light blue tracer. Purple to purple and white to white.

thanks Tizzy, another thing, after I do the job. Am I going to have go back to dealer and have them reset the module. Or can I do it? or does the local auto store have one to lend out?

that I'm not sure about. There's a chance the lamp will go out but you can try disconnecting the battey to see if it will clear if it doesn't go out.
