well i think my relay is no good, the fan turns on if i put 12v directly but, if i leave it the way it is then the car starts to over heat, also i read that there is a relay that cost 60 bucks or more, but can i use one of my own relay and wiring it up? or will there be too much heat and melt the relay? the factory relay that came from factory has some special thermo 5 compound the keep it cool on the chassis, and maby i thought i could use a universal relay instead of the factory. maby some one could help me out on that

 

I would replace the relay with a factory relay. But i would also ck with local dealer, because there was a recall for the fan relay and a flash.

 

yea i seen that too, now if i was to bring it to a deal would they replace it for no charge? i never brought a car to a dealer, i just mostly change the stuff
