Question '94 Grand Caravan Door Issue - Please help!

My driver's side door has been a little uneven for awhile now. Had the latch area repaired about a year ago because the metal was cracking from the latch not lining up correctly. I have been noticing since then that the door hangs a little low, with the bottom shifted a little to the left. Today, all of a sudden it is shifted so much that it is hitting the front panel when I try to open it. The front end panel is now bent a little from opening it twice to get home. My dad had previously tried to explain to me how to fix it, and I have been looking online for hours, but so far all the ways I have seen to realign the hinges don't make a lot of sense. Can anyone explain the process for a non-car expert? Maybe point me to some illustrated instructions? Otherwise, does any one know a ball park figure for getting this done professionally?

Thanks!

Welcome to DF
Try using a floor jack on the end going to the B-piilar with a block of wood. Loosen the hinges and adjust.

The older vans also had a problem with the outer door skin breaking loose at the front seem causing the door to sag. Just open the door and lift at the rear edge while watching the front pinch seem, if it's loose, you'll see it shifting. Otherwise, loosening the hinges for an adjustment is a pain in the rear end.
