Red face Where's that temp sensor?

Hoping MT can help me here.

Where is the temp sensor for my overhead display?

I took the overhead display from a T&C and put it in the 96 GC.
Everything works (the harness plug was already there), except the outside tempreture reading.
The book shows the conection, but not the location of the sensor.
Heading to the boneyard to get some parts for the 97 GC and was hoping to find the sensor for the 96.

Also, the 97 GC doesnt have the harness for the overhead display.
Looking at the book, seems if I tap the "CCD+ and CCD-" and supply 12v and a ground, it should work.
Ever try this? Will it work?
I'll need to add the outside temp sensor to the 97 also.
I'm replacing the headliner, so this seems like the time to be running the wires for it.

Many thanks my friend,
PinCup

AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

REMOVAL
  1. Raise and support vehicle on safety stands.
  2. From behind front bumper fascia, remove screw holding sensor to radiator closure panel.
  3. Remove sensor from vehicle.

Thanks Tizzy1,

I have that diagram, my question is where on the van is the sensor?

Behind the grill, behind the driver's outside mirror, in the fender...????

Need to know so I can get one from a boneyard rig.

Thanks,
EZ1
