Just got my van back from the shop after it sat for almost the last year because didn't have the money to get it fixed. Replaced catalytic convert upstream oxygen sensor and got it inspected for tune of about 800 bucks. Thought everything was good to go and now check engine light is on again p108 map sensor. Replaced that with no luck now being told need new pcm. They check all the wires and said thats my problem. Just wanted to vent. Suppose to be going on vacation tomorrow looks like I'll be driving a rental.

 

Curious, what year's the van and how many miles?

 

02 GC es 3.8l about 85k

 

That sucks, Federal emissions warrenty is 8 years, 80,000 miles and would have covered the PCM and the Cat.

 

yeah found that info on here seems like everything goes bad after the warranty how ironic
