Default 2008 GC sxt loaded issues.....

Hi out there, just wanted to vent a little about my van, dont know how many other people have been having these problems but i know i havent been having much luck with mine...

we purchased our van over 1 year ago brand new from the dealership, we absoulotly loved it and was perfect for the family the only thing we were hesitant on was all the plastic trim inside(white of course lol).

within the first month the power steering hose blew out on it(they have since recalled the vans for this) requiring a tow to dealership and also that piece of plastic between the 2 middle seats cracked from being stepped on by my 8 year old son and the dealership would not replace it saying it wasnt covered(the plastic that is).
since then we have put 34000km's on the van mostly highway(over 20000kms) when the check engine light came on and i noticed i couldnt manually **** gears anymore. there was also a drain on the battery too so i had it towed in again becuase it wouldnt even boost....So the dealership calls us and says our ignition module is shot due to the carstarter...now heres the kicker when we bought the van it had a factory one already inside but they insisted on putting a aftermarket carstarter to our objections as we saw no use to it. we had to fight with them over this becuase they said crhysler would not cover it but eventually they caved in and covered the costs of the ignition and labor(think they got the money off the 3rd party installers), i also demanded they remove the carstarter. they kept my van for over a well over a week to do this work and i recieved no rental becuase they said it wasnt warranty work...fair enough. i was also made aware that my brakes needed replacing at 34000km's for the cheap price of $370 for just the front brakes!!!!! This seems pretty odd to replace brakes at that low of km's more so when most of those km's were highway.
So i recieved my van back drove it home(6 blocks away parked it and went in for the night. the next day i had errands to run, went outside started the van put it in gear went 5ft before the transmission proceeds to slip outta gear then after 10secs slam hard back into gear.this had never happened before it went in....needless to say it was followed by the engine light coming on and me driving straight to the dealership. I have had other issues but these are the worst.

Now dont get me wrong i love my van and dodge products in general(i have a 97 cherokee runs like a top) but the service and the communication ive been getting from my dealership, which weve been dealing with for over 8years and were we take all our work too, has been horrible and when i do get my van back this time i will not be dealing with them again. This isnt the first issue we had with them either but thats another story.

Thanks all for reading my vent, post if you have had simular issues
Also is there a website or something i can go to for complaints about my dealership?

You can and should call customer assistance. The number is in your owners manual. Problems with your vehicle aren't near as bad when you get good service and people / places like that give all of us a bad reputation. I hope you have better luck at your next location.

yep ya know what the truth is. everyone say that dodge or add "name here" is crap. but the truth is this that most of all the bad rep that manufactors get is from the dealers not doing there job. not serving the customer. not doing a good job. ok gov that there a few in the mix that a good dealers but you would think to own a dealer name ya would need to know how to serve them other than just sell cars..

makes ya think.

Default update

Just to update i dropped the van off thurs morning to the dealership it is now monday and have talked to the service centre 3 time and finally this morning got some news that the transmisson is indead shot they have found metal shavings but they dont know yet if they are gonna replace or rebuild and its gonna be at least another week or more without my van and she said she might let me know either tonight or tomorrow which they are gonna do(going on my 3rd week already with nothing but incomplete answers and a representive who tells me one thing then changes the story the next time to my questions and my ever growing frustration). I have still yet to hear that i will recieve a rental at this point i know i am entitled to one but this is just a hint at the type of service im recieving from these guys...also was told there is still some kinda power draw still coming from somewhere which they intially blamed on the aftermarket carstarter that is no longer in the vehichle and they have pulled the ignition yet again.....
Any recommadations on what i should do at this point???

One thing i forgot to mention earlier about the first time it was in the technician reported that the transmission slipped on him on a test drive but they obviously didnt look into as that was the reason i returned it....seems to me that it would be a good idea to look into something like that before turning it back to the customer.
