Hello everyone out there!! I absolutely love my 2004 Grand Caravan (SXT model with 3.8L), but have a couple problems that are stumping my father and I. First - - when taking off, RPM's will climb as normal but just before shifting, a "chirping noise" (like a bird) happens and then it shifts into gear. Doesn't happen every shift though. Has 104k and no ck eng light on.
Second issue- - my defroster / heater works on all 4 settings but doesn't switch over to the dash vent settings of floorboard only settings. It makes a high pitched whine and sounds horrific.

Anyone else have any issues like these?

First problem could be fan belt tensioner, motor mounts or exhaust pipe from manifold. second problem could be the blower motor causing the high pitch sound, as far as switching modes, ck for a vacuum leak or a bad actuator. Have the heater system ck'ed for any stored codes.
