Need help with 1999 Caravan - please read.
I have a question about a 1999 Dodge Caravan. My van was stolen from my driveway, it has been recovered however the vin# on the dash and doors were changed. ( the police verified this by the vin# plate on the dash being scratched and having screws where there should be rivets. )
My vehicle has been in impound since Monday, waiting on the auto theft squad to verify the Caravan as my vehicle.
My question is, do they have to disassemble my van to find other locations with the vin ? I am terribly worried that I will get the van back in pieces, I've seen the vehicle and the condition is very good despite being gone for 3 months.
Please help.
