Default Brake lights don't go on

I was pulled over by the police and informed my brake lights were not working. I have replaced the bulbs, the fuse, and the stop light switch at the brake pedal and still nothing. The turn signals work, the rear night lights work and the reverse lights work. Also, the third brake light works in the back window. It is only both side brake lights that are not working. Any suggestions? I don't know what's left to replace.

Welcome to DF

have you done any electrical work lately, example replace a radio, on another car I had I had a short in a wire going to my radio and my tail lights didn't work, every thing else worked.

if you have did not do any of that could be a short in wire,

but some one else who knows more will be around

You could have bad sockets for the brake lites, or an open wire coming from the bcm to the tail lamps.
