Cool vibration 35mph +

My 1996 dodge grand caravan 3.3L V6 is shaking the whole van when accelerating or going up a hill above 35mph I have 175k miles on it the axles feel tight. when you get up to speed it smooths out until you have to accelerate up hills, you don't feel any thing in the steering wheel and i have rotated the tires but didn't help. Any body got an answer? Is it the trany?

Welcome to DF
The problem maybe the drive axles. If the spring breaks in the cv boot you can not see it. Do you have an all wheel drive van?

Here is a way to ck the axles, Lift the front end with front tires off the ground. Have one person hold one of the tires and other person start and slowly with the transmission in drive and bring the speed up until you feel the vibration. And ck the other side the same way. What ever side is vibrating, thats the side you are having problem with.

Question: When you go up hill and it shakes, does the shaking goes away when you accelerate? If it goes away when you accelerate, you have worn out spark plugs. Ask me how I know. If this is the case, replace the spark plugs and do the same test again.
