Default 2005 SXT blue tooth mirror fail

same crappy 05 van, but now my rear view mirror blue tooth has failed, once again i checked fuses and unplugged the 2 plugged from behind the mirror but nothing.....at times the green light does coem on for the dime fuction but the hands crappy option still not working...

anyone else have the same issues

Probably not the mirror. You would have to take it somewhere and have it checked for codes in the module. Probably has a wire shorted somewhere or something that would leave a code.

I though about just checking the control unit, is it in the pass front fender some were???? I scanned and no code were found.... it was working fine for the last 6 years when it wasent in use and now that we HAVE to use hands free we set it up and it worked for 1 week then died.

The hands free module is behind what used to be the floor console, here's a picture with everything removed.

..I ended up pulling the body interior control unit and checking solidering joints, it seemed to work off and on before it totaly died.......any thoughts?????.. Im thinking the way it acted in its final days that the unit was dieing......PART # on the black box is 56040974AB, JOHNSON CONTROLS INTERIORS..... it has a small black square multi plug and a larger flat grey plug...Am I right.

That is the correct part number for the module. See if you can find a junkyard one.

No findy, my part # 56040974ab. I believe it has to be the same #.....there is a newer # 56040974ac....cant seem to find one anywere.......any other ideas..the local dealer want $631
