If you have an 08' Town and Country it should still be under factory warranty!! 3 years or 36,000 what ever comes first!!! I think !! Correct me if i'm wrong!!!!

Like mine. You buy and 08 in 07 and it has been 3 years, but the 36,000 always comes first for us.

Default Where to get the repair part.

The place I deal with is Moparliquidators. They have been very good to me.

On a side note: The part that broke on my 2005 caravan was the plastic clip at the end of the re-tractor cable. So all i needed was just the cable. Spring was fine. Plus the original spring is so heavy that i doubt anyone could stretch it.
I bought the repair kit; it came with a cable and spring and a couple other parts. What ticked me off is Chrysler made the cable longer and provided a shorter weaker spring to make up for the change in length. i couldn't just change the cable. i had to use the cable and spring. so now that they are in place the legs go almost down. when you put the seats in the floor you have to assist the leg down to its flat position.

not impressed.

Default stow n go seat leg retraction

My 2005 Grand Caravan also broke the plastic clip on the third row seat. Looking at the way its put together and looking for the cheap way out.
A Tinnerman 'U' nut over the stud on the frame and the cable through the U. May not last forever, but its a 6 yr old van and scheduled for replacement next year anyway.

Could you post a pic of this repair? My in-laws van has the same problem and I want to fix it for them. A junkyard should offer a replacement if I could only find the time to go.

usually on an '05, the cable breaks, should be able to get a cable from the junk yard, usually breaks at the clip

On my in-laws van the plastic end broke off of the cable. The cable is intact.
