2002 caravan engine noise

makes loud almost grinding sound on idle also boiling sound after turning off coolant is right level and temp gauge reads fine

Welcome to DF
Pull off the fan belt and see if the grinding sound is gone. I most case's the water pump bearing goes bad a makes a grinding sound.

2002 dodge se scan code ev need help

just bought 02 se 3.3 scan tool says ev pointers of where to look for problem?

just had it looked at, was told it is the a/c compressor starting to fail. Does this sound right

Sure it could.But did you have the water pump looked at too?
