Cool PCM That fixes that...

PCM Question -
My Daughter's 97 3.3ltr Grand Carivan failed to start last Saturday while camping 180 miles from home. After arrainging to get it back home I began troubleshooting and here's what I found;
40AMP Start circuit fuse blown, replacement blew as soon as we turned the key to start.
Unplugged PCM and new replacement fuse held.
Cut Dark blue and tan wire from Starter relay in distribution center to PCM Starter relay control and grounded it. Start circuit now responds normally.

What issues might I expect by bypassing the PCM starter relay control?

The dark blue wire is the wire the pcm grounds to actuate the starter. You can take over the wire, you just wont have starter override.

Not sure what Starter override means. Just know something inside that PCM Jellpack was shorted and blowing the fuse.

Starter override is when the car is running it won't allow the starter to engage. I assumed it was inside the pcm. Putting a new one in?

No, I'm gonna just let her run like that. Can't afford a new one, and couldn't find an exact match used replacement. Thanks for your help!
