Sentry system has me dead in the water..
I've had this 2002 Caravan for about 6 years . Until recenrly it worked fine. Then, in the last couplIe of months the sentry system began locking me out (engine would quit 2 seconds after starting). I tried doing the few things the owner's manual suggested but it didn't work. After messing around awhile, it would eventually start. Now, the engine doesn't even turn over? Could this be the transponder module? If, so, can I replace the old one myself, or is this a "special tools" job? Thanks! gregg
To replace the SKIM module is a "special tools" job. You have to get a code from Chrysler to access the module with a scan tool, all the information has to be transfered to the new module and all the keys reprogrammed.
