2001 grand caravan sport. it's making a terable racket under the hood when it is stopped but in drive. Sound clears when gas is applied. There is no noise when in park or reverse. Anybody have any ideas I'm thinking flex plate or broken flywheel

 

yep it's a broken flexplate since automatics don't have flywheels

maybe you have bad engine mounts, maybe you have a heat shield that' bad

could be about 100 things. pretty hard to guess via internet without hearing, seeing, feeling the problem

take it to a professional noise investigator and have them diagnose the problem
