I just replaced my wifes power steering lines and have no idea what to put in it
can I use regular power steering fluid or does it require something special
1997 mini van with 3.3 engine if that matters

I would look in the owners manual or on the cap and see what Chrysler mandates you use.

I personally use Honda power steering fluid in my van cuz I got a case of it free.

 

The owner manual will be wrong. TSB's now want you to switch to atf+4. So use atf+4 fluid.
