Default 2006 Grand Caravan SXT Air Bag Light Failure - 5 Times

My 2006 Grand Caravan has had 5 occurances of Air bag Light being on intermittently and then within a month, always on.
1st time (2007) my dealership - left & right bumper sensors replaced.
2nd time (2008) dealarship in another province - clockspring replaced.
3rd time (2009) my dealership - clockspring replaced.
4th time (2010) dealership in another province - clockspring replaced.
5th time (2010) 1 month later - my dealership - clockspring replaced.
Thank God I bought the Extended Warranty.
My biggest gripe, other than the inconvenience, was that even though I told the service people how many times it had failed, at no time was I told that, when the light was on, the airbag was disabled.

Has anyone else had this many failures?

they didn't have air bags when I was a kid and I managed to survive. even my car I drive everyday now doesn't have airbags.

all those failures are very suspect. I never heard of anyone having more than 2 clockspring failures.

you are definitely not an engineer. I'd be safer having a head on collison with my 01 impala w/o air bags than have a head on with a 1959 chevy impala even if it had air bags.
