Our '03 is still on the original engine and trannie. Driving into town right now, Odo is 254193 and still going strong!

I have an '03 sport GC that had a 185k(supposed) 3.8l swapped in for the 3.3 around 250k and the previous owner ran it hot and warped the rear head. I drive it all the time and am about to do a 64 mile commute in it. It's around 270k now.

In my experience the only body problems on this gen are the head liners which the only fix for is to fix every 1-2 years even if you have pros do it. The epoxy on the underbody and body-coat all stand up as do electronics(minus ABS sensors).

All the third gens had valve seals that went around 200k and famous trans issues where if you were lucky you could just put in an additive to fix slipping.

Default I have a 98 plymouth...pretty much the same thing.

Plymouth breeze. 3rd owner. I worked on it for the previous owner. Gonna turn 270K this week. All original as far as engine and tranny. I do have the 3.8L engine. It was a special order.

I've actually seen both III and IV gen diesels in the US. Too bad we can't get data on these. You'd probably see close to seven figure mileage. I'd actually buy one if I could find one for sale.

I pull trailers a few times a month so even if diesel is a dime or two over I save when I factor engine swaps and rebuilds plus there is the torque for inclines.

Default Never Wanted a Minivan

I ended up with a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan.A remodeling customer owed me $2,000 and had no $ to pay me.I accepted this van as payment in full with 220,000 miles on it.Today it has 336,000 miles.I ran Castrol High Mileage 10W30 and 1 quart Lucas oil treatment to each oil change at 3,000 mile intervals. It now consumes 1 quart of oil every 3,000 miles. No smoking, knocking or clicking.I had the time chain checked at 250,000 miles. My mechanic said he thinks the trnsmission was replaced with rebuilt factory just before I got it.I have spent $660 in front suspension repairs. The ECM(computer) has a quirk in it that would drain the battery quick.I removed the fuse that controls radio and remote lock. That was 50,000 miles ago.Been driving it that way with no problems.I'm just lucky with this van.I'm going to sell it to a working poor person that needs basic transport for $500.I suspect it has more miles left in it.
