Reverse lights ALWAYS on

Reverse lights ALWAYS on
Got an 00 Grand Caravan of the wifeys and the reverse lights never go out. The indicator doesn't show reverse when it is in reverse. Not sure what to do. Thanks.

Stopped in at my buddies tranny shop, he says basically the same thing. The selector is on the valve body and sometimes they always make a ground for the back up lights. He can drop the valve body and fix it and service the tranny for about 150.
