Help entertainment locked up
Can someone help me?
We started our family vacation today and during the trip we popped in the 3rd DVD. The system said that the DVD was unrecognized, but it won't pop out the DVD. In fact, the entire entertainment system is now locked up because of it. I can't play the DVD (obviously if not recognized), but i can't switch to radio, can't switch to iPod, nothing.
I can turn the power button off so that the clock appears and that at least works.
If I plug in a memory stick the system recognizes it, but then I'm locked out of the screen because the system is still non-responsive.
We turned off the van for over 30min, and as soon as I turn on the car, the system initialized properly but i can't remove the DVD or switch to radio. It comes up with a pop-up box "DVD error" but you can't remove it because the system is unresponsive.
Aaarrrgghhhh..... I have a 2 year old daughter. Enough said!!

RER/REW/REP MyGIG Radio. This about what i can come up with.Hope this helps.
Issue Description:
Issue 1- When travelling on non-GPS authenticated roads, the RER radio Navigation distance to the next turn is actually the straight line distance to the next proximate GPS-authenticated road. This can create confusion but will not be fixed by replacing the radio: A software Fix is expected to be available at the Dealership by mid-January 2008.
Issue 2- Occasionally upon ignition key on the RER Radio DVD control is locked up and disc cannot be played. The software fix for this is expected to be available at the Dealership by mid-November 2007.
Issue 3- RER Radio automatically previews navigation route when customer selects navigation mode and enters a route. A software fix is expected to be available at the Dealership by mid-November 2007.
Issue 4-If Radio presets do not seem to save on radio, please confirm that the following process is being performed:
When listening to the selected station in AM/FM modes
- Press and hold the desired preset soft key on the right side of the display.
- Keep holding the preset until the preset goes through a color change of green, then yellow.
Once the selected preset turns yellow, the current station/frequency will be saved.
Issue 5- Rear View Camera
This feature/mode can be enabled/disabled through the radio by following the following steps:
1) Press Menu hard key
2) Select "System Setup" on display
3) Select "Camera Setup" on display
If customer complaint is related to rear view camera functionality, please confirm feature is ENABLED.
Issue 6- Prior to replacement of any of the above mentioned radio part numbers, please verify RRT #08-076 has been completed and still did NOT resolve customer issue
