Default Cleaning the old headliner foam off.... advice?

It appears to be fiberglass, on the front and back; but some sort of foam in the middle. I need to remove the old foam material that was underneath the fabric which caused it all to droop down.

Is it safe to pressure was it off? or should I sand.....?

Thanks for the advise!

(My Grand Caravan is a 2000 model!)

Is the material falling from the headliner or the headliner is dropping down?

the fabric was drooping... the foam that attached it was coming loose. Our AC was not working for 2 summers, and it really started falling rapidly after this.

The headliner board came out in good shape, one crease towards the back; but overall, very stiff, should stay in place still.

I believe chrysler does not have a fix for the fabric, other than replacing the headliner. Unless you can take the headliner out of the van and spray some type of glue on it. And let it set.

You will need to get new fabric, clean the headliner and re-do it again. The fabric that is in there will not glue back!!! And it's an easy fix, you can do it yourself! If you need any help let me know i have don it before and i got friends that work on upholstery!!

+1 Coolio,

I've used a wire brush myself , stripped it off real good.
3M spray adhesive then some generic Fleece fabric from the local fabricland.

Installed same day and looks great!!
