hoping somebody can help me..no spark
Hello everybody, I have an 02 caravan, 3.3l, that has an intermittant no-start problem. When the van does start, it runs excellent and never has a problem while driving, but theres no telling if it will start once it is shut off. Yesterday, the van wouldnt start all day, and here is what I found during the no-start condition.....I have codes 0351, 0352, 0353, so i checked for spark, and had none. I did have injector pulse, rpm signal during cranking, power to the coil via the asd relay, but no coil trigger, which led me to believe maybe a pcm, or wiring problem, but I was able to fire the coils using the scan-tool, so I assume the driver circuit in the pcm is ok, and the wiring to the coils must be ok. The only thing that I could find was that the cam/crank sync was "lost", which confused me even more because I had rpm during cranking, and injector pulse. This morning the van started right up and ran perfectly all day, but the scan tool still shows the cam/crank sync "lost" even after I cleared that status, but the van was running great. Any input would be greatly appreciated, I've seen quite a few of the exact same problem when I googled it, but I cant find anybody that has actually got the problem resolved, and posted to say what it was. Several people have replaced their coil, pcm, crank sens and cam sens with no luck, I'm hoping that the vast knowledge on this forum can bring me some answers. Thanks in advance!

When Monitored and Set Condition:
P0351-IGNITION COIL #1 PRIMARY CIRCUIT 2.4L/3.3L & 3.8L
When Monitored: With battery voltage greater than 8 volts during engine cranking or
greater than 13 volts with engine running. Engine RPM less than 3000. No coil in dwell
during test.
Set Condition: Peak current is not achieved with battery based dwell plus 1.5 msec of
diagnostic offset. It takes less than 3 seconds during cranking or up to 6 seconds while
running to set.
P0352-IGNITION COIL #2 PRIMARY CIRCUIT 2.4L/3.3L & 3.8L
When Monitored: With battery voltage greater than 8 volts during engine cranking or
greater than 13 volts with engine running. Engine RPM less than 3000. No coil in dwell
during test.
