Default 2002 Grand Caravan Sport 3.3 Transmission Problems

I am having issues with the tranny. Here is what it is doing.

When i let go of the gas pedal, or am coming to a stop, it kicks hard, or sporadically. Sometimes it's soft, and sometimes it's hard, and sometimes it acts right.

I have taken it to many dealers. They can't find anything wrong with it. It's driving me crazy. I know what i feel when driving it. It's not right. Something is wrong.

I also have a few other issues that just popped up within the last few weeks.
One being the A/C. It start leaking after they changed out the filter on the inside. So i stopped using it.

The other is the check engine light. I had that checked. It reports small emission leak, and large emission leak. Then one time it reported that 3 of the ignition coils were bad. Do i need to replace all the coils? I got no clue how many there are on this thing.

Any help is so much appreciate it. I had not had any issues with this vehicle up until now.

Some more info on the van.

160,000 miles
3.3 engine
Nothing has been modded or changed other than the battery.

Regards,

AXG

Welcome to DF
There used to be a flash update for a 2-1 down shift for the transmission.Did the dealer ck for any updates? Where there any transmission codes and did the dealer write or tell you the CVI readings? Also when was the last time you had transmission repairs done?

I never did any tranny repairs. The dealer did not tell me about anything related to a 2-1 down shift upgrade, and i don't recall them ever doing any checking for them. I had the tranny serviced 5 times from Dec 2008 thru Jan 2009 because of this issue. It helped a little bit, but now it's really bad.

They were not able to pull up and transmission codes. So you think if i go to the dealer and tell them about the 2-1 downshift upgrade they would listen to me?

And thanks for the welcome.
