I have the following codes coming up on my '03 Dodge Grand Caravan P0443 and P1684. I had my alternator fixed in the beginning of the summer and shortly after that the P0443 starting showing up. The mechanic has looked it throughout the summer and kept saying nothing was wrong. Now, I have a check engine and check battery light and the car is doing other weird stuff, radio was turning on and off, car was losing power. I'm now being told by the mechanic (independent not Dodge) it's the PCM. I had the PCM fixed two years ago at a Dodge dealorship. So my question is is this normal to have to replace the PCM afte

P0443 is a purge solenoid ciruit code. You need to repair the purge solenoid circuit, and go from there. If you need the PDF file to help you, send me your email and i'll send the file.

The pcm controls the emission control. The answer is yes.
