My daughter's 2000 Caravan just failed the smog test, the Check Engine Light would NOT come on. About two years ago I replaced the computer, with a rebuilt, to pass smog last time. Do you think it's the computer again or could it be something else?

It doesn't come on when you turn the key to run or start?

 

Yes it comes on then. They can't make it come on during the test and I guess it needs to.

Okay,it passes the bulb test. But if they unplug a sensor the lite doesn't come on? If the ck engine lite is on during a smog test, that will cause the test to abort.Fail........
