03 Grnd Carvan 3.8L stalling - fixed
I had the stalling problem for about a week. Got a fuel filter since Im pushing 100k on it I could use a new one anyway and it might be the reason its stalling. This is what you have to do.
1. Get the back up on ramps or on a lift
2. Drop the rear support strap for the gas tank
3. You will see the filter just unbolt it from the frame
4. pop the 3 snap locks. watch your eyes since it is under pressure
you can pull the negative batt cable and unplug the the fuel relay if you
are worried about the fuel but I did not bother this time
5. replace the filter. its color coded so just be sure of which is supply and return. not too difficult.
It ran better but still stalled out. no computer codes or check engine light.
I picked up a IAC valve and replaced that and that did it. The IAC was fried completely. I'm shocked it lasted this long.
