Default Shock tower rusting

Every van, 10 years or older, that I have seen has rust problems in the shock towers. One woman paid $700 to have hers replaced with the factory kit made for the purpose. When are the towers so bad that they need replacing ?? Mine are rusting a bit but no holes that I can see.

if you don't mind the strut breaking through the tower crashing into the wiper module, you don't need to worry about ever replacing them.

you should have researched this van before you bought it. sounds like a lemon based on all the questions you posted so far.

that's great that you feel good about your deal. i have some of these vans that don't have a spec of rust on them. I came up with a way to prevent them from rusting and have no signs of any rust.
