I haven't really gotten into it much but so far all I know is there is a metal grinding noise that is consistent with acceleration. Sometimes its not there sometimes it is. This just started about a month ago. Other issues that I've had recently are the EGR was acting up so I replaced that and also the cooling system has a leak. I haven't found the leak yet but I have replaced the fluids twice in the past 2 months. I don't know if either of these issues might somehow correlate to the grinding noise but if anyone has any idea where I should start looking please post. I assume the obvious is somewhere along the drive train but would like to have a better idea where to start. Thanks.

 

start with having someone else with automotive experience hear the problem and pinpoint were it's coming from. I'm going to guess, brakes.
