Ive connected my android phone to the VES via USB and did a simple dump of all music, but using this method I cannot delete files.

I bought a male to male usb cable in the hopes to connect my laptop to the HardDrive so I can modify the files but I wasnt so lucky.

...so I have two questions:
1) can you connect a laptop to the vans harddrive
2) how do you delete songs/pictures already on the harddisk?
