Dealer just told me that the #5 injector is bad and needs to be replaced, not a problem, but can someone tell me which one that is? I would rather do it that pay the dealer 700 to do it.

That would be the rear cylinder head, last injector that is near the coil pack.

I just had my oil changed recently on my 2008 Grand Caravan SXT 4.0L V6 a few weeks ago. Just the other day the engine light came on calling out the #5 cyclinder misfire (P0305). The vehicle seems to run okay but the only thing I noticed (a big deal actually) is that when using the factory remote-start, the engine will only run for about 20 seconds and then shut off. When using the key, no problems. I read the full code details so I have an idea of what the problem could possibly be...I'm just trying to narrow the list down and ultimately see if this is something I can take care of myself. We just experienced bitter cold weather recently and then a sudden warm-up...could that have something to do with it? Also, any help on locating a parts diagram (and list) of the 4.0L V6 would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

If the engine light is on, the remote start will not stay running. Just FYI. If you clear the code, remote start will work fine until the code gets thrown again :/
