low fuel alarm
Hi , the caravan is really well built , but has a guess what owners manual ! I test drove the 4.0 , but bought the 3.3 because of the 4.0's transmission problems ! the 6 speed is not a good investment . I loved the power of the 4.0 . thanks Duane

There's really no way to know for 100% sure due to possible calibration variances between the gauge and the sending unit. However you calculate it, don't forget the quart or so that's always inside the fuel pump body.
The best I can say is, when my2005 GC's Low Gas light comes on, and I get down to about "7 miles to empty" according to the computer, I still can't get quite 18 gallons into the 20 gallon tank. So we appear to have about a two gallon reserve? At 18 miles per gallon city, call it about a thirty mile reserve.
THEORETICALLY.......
