Default Caravan no heat on passenger side

Hello, My brother has a caravan, 2000 year i beleive or just a year or two newer. He gets heat on the drivers side but not the passenger side, it is the one that has the duel climate controls. I am looking for all things to check and look for, he stated that a mechanic told him he needed something that cost appx 500.00 dollars. But reading on the site, some are stating that there might be a reset to calibrate the blend doors?? any help would be most helpful...thanks

need the exact year for diagnistic tests.

I dont think 2000 had dual climate controls(or i havent seen one with that option)
maybe T&C had this option, my guess its a 2001-2007?
find out and we can go from there

Go up to the diy section and Master Tech has posted the system recalibration test and the head diagnostics for the control head. Usually the slider craps out so it doesn't see you move the lever. The self test diagnostics will show you if that is the case. After the calibration is done, you can enter diagnosic mode and test all the slides and mode ****.
