Can the dvd play on the front screen, it
will play in park but not in drive
Is this normal or is there a problem
Would be nice for passenger to watch
in stead of going in back seat.

in car audio most aftermarket players do the same thing,i have replaced the head unit in my mini with an alpine,and this unit reqires a tr7 wich does the e brake /park sequence for me,then jensen,clarion,and pioneer just require the "e"brake wire or "park" wire to be grounded...if you find one of these wires then just ground it,and it allowes the screen to display.

 

try looking up the manufacture,and request a wire diogram,look up the parking brake wire,or park wire,and see how its grounded,or go to stinger.com(aamp of america)they make devices that do this for you,just plug and play>

 

factory dvd/nav units need to have lockpick installed to overide factory lock out of the dvd while playing in drive. this system uses the canbus system to do the communication so no grounding of any wires there wise ya going to be in bigger issues than watching dvd.
