Unhappy Front End Suspension Challenges

I have a 2003 Dodge Caravan SE with 3.3L engine and 92K Kilometers that I have been hearing metal crunch noises from my front left wheel area every time I go over a deep valley in the road or a rise followed by a drop. The vehicle reacts normally to all other bumps in the road. I have had various suspension components replaced starting in 2006 the last being Swaybar cushions and removal and replacement of the Swaybar to grind rust in Jan. 2010. The two local garages found the suspension system to be safe their only suggestion of what might fix the problem is the replacement of both front strut units. I would consider paying out the C$ 1200 if it would solve the problem.

Has anyone had any similar problems? What was the solution?

lol how can you even afford to own a vehicle at all? $1200 for struts thats a joke wish you could see how simple it is-- good luck buddy-- keep on working everyday for that check- cause you gonna be paying son! Enjoy your disposable Chyrsler product, although it does have good electrical access and accessories. Why do people not go for raw durability, in this out of whack free market you might have to end up eeking all you can from your vehicle 5 years down the line, your taking some serious chances, you have no recourse for faulty engineering and manufacturing! take it

Not suggesting what the root problem is but if you need to buy new struts - Buy them from Rockauto.com and install them yourself. $300 for new struts and springs (Monroe brand - called complete struts). You could even buy the parts and take it to a shop and still spend less than $1200 easy.

I also have the same issue having replaced both the bushings and the sway bar links(I didn't see those mentioned in the work you've had done). It was suggested to me that the control arm bushings may be bad but I haven't done anything about it yet.
