Default Head gasket replacement problems

I have a '98 Chrysler Town and Country with a 3.8L engine. I have noticed a coolant leak in the front head gasket on the drivers side. I am worried that I will have to pull the timing chain and camshaft in order to replace the head gaskets. I have looked at a Chiltons manual and a Town and Country service manual pdf and have not figured this out.

Would someone have the steps I need in order to take the head gaskets off.

Will I need to pull the timing chain and camshaft?

What gasket set is the best replacement, the $99 or the $189 set?

Which gasket set manufacturer is the best?

Does any know the time frame involved?

If there is any information not covered in this post please let me know.

Thanks

terry

I think this is going to be easier than I anticipated.

Don't take this as the gospel but I wouldn't take any chances with the head bolts. Enjoy the peace of mind and get new ones. Rock Auto has them for anywhere from $14 to $30 which is totally cheap considering your labor in case something doesn't go right with the used head bolts.

I've yet to ever see a 3.3 or 3.8 ever have a bad headgasket.

You don't need to remove the timing chain cover. The head gasket leaking is a common problem on the 3.3 and 3.8 from 1992 thru 2000. Make sure the that you match the new gasket to the old one. Because the bore is smaller on the 3.3. All you need to buy is a head set.
