well first, what is in it? i think possibly if for some luck ya have engine failure they could go back to you on that. aint it still under warranty. also by cooling it down more you might not have heat/or fast enough heat in winter.
technically NO. running the engine cooler than normal will violate vehicle emissions requirements. your fuel mileage would also suffer and many more reasons not to. if your engine is running hotter than normal, FIX the problem. there's nothing wrong with running it at 195 that the stat is designed for. I gained 15hp in my race car running the coolant at 200 vs 150.
