Default Heater blows warm

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I have a 1994 grand caravan where the heat only blows warm but when I turn the blower fan off and turn it on it will blow hot and then go back to warm. This does this both at idle and driving. Temp. gauge reads normal. Coolant level is full and have leaked any coolant. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Oh I forgot to mention I have removed a defective heater control valve and ran the heater hose straight to the heater core and plugged the vacuum line.

Thanks
Wkweir

If both hoses are very hot to the touch, then most likely a blend door issue. Can you hear the door "thunk" when you move it all the way to hot? If not, it is a cable operated blend door and the cable is adjustable.

Pay up.

I'm in favor of the blend air door.

stat would be a waste of money if the cooling system is reaching and maintaining normal temp. (this would need to be verified with a pyrometer or using a scanner to read the ECT value.
