Default 99 3.3 oil in the coolant

Hey guys, I just bought a 99 grand caravan 3.3L with 135,000. It had oil in the coolant but no water in the oil. So I replaced both head gaskets but didn't find any obvious red flags and haven't drove it enough to say it's fixed. I was reading another post about replacing a timing cover and noticed that coolant passes through the timing cover. Is It possible for one of those o-rings or something to allow oil in the coolant? It also had a slight miss prior to changing the head gaskets which appears to be gone.

Welcome to DF
Sure it is possible, but it also could be from the radiator too. Transmission fluid.

Thanks. I actually replaced the radiator due to a crack on the right side tank. I thought about that myself but I was thinking since the cooler is submerged in the tank coolant would end up in the tranny as well. Maybe the difference in viscosity between the two wouldn't allow coolant (which was just water when I got it) to enter in the atf but would allow the atf to enter the water.
