2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Transmission codes P0700, P0731A, P0841, and P0870
2002 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L 4-speed.
My daughter drove the car to Glenwood Springs, Colorado over Vail Pass and the car appears to be in limp mode now with the following codes:
P0700
P0731A
P0841
P0870
I am in St. Louis, Missouri 750 miles away from the car talking to a mechanic in Glenwood Springs, CO. The present plan is to get the car to a Glenwood Springs, CO transmission shop and have them diagnose the problem.
The car drives but the mechanic told me that he could barely get the car up on the lift with a one foot elevation change.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Dr. Evil

I hopefully will be talking to the transmission shop on Monday, January 10, 2011.
Any helpful questions I should ask of the transmission specialist would be greatly appreciated.
This is tough to do long distance.
Thanks again.

Master Tech,
Thank you for the response and the welcome.
I will ask about the solenoid pack. Would you suggest a filter and fluid change also?
I'm worried about my daughter driving back over the Vail pass.
Thanks again,
