Need any help I can get with '08 minivan wipers making noise. Snow slid off the roof down ontothe wipers, and they started making this clicking noise when they start to move. they don't actuall move until you give them a little help. I tried to take the wiper arms and cowl off to look at the mechanism but couldn't get them off. Removed 15mm bolt and tried to remove arm but seemed stuck. Sprayed with PB blaster and tried battery terminal puller to no avail. What commonly gives or bends in the mechanism when pressed? It seems like something bent just a little bit and won't let the motor continue its cycle. Anyone know anything about this?

 

possibledrive linkbushing destroyed

get a good 2 jaw puller and remove wiper arms
pull off cowl

then you can visually inspect linkage and bushings as well as confirm proper movement.
before you button everything back up put a little grease on all pivot points
