I am re-posting some questions I have on a climate control issue with my van. I have scoured this forum with no concrete solution.

The problem I am currently experiencing is my climate control only outputs heat from defrost/floor position. I cannot adjust the temperature or position.

Most features of the control unit work, including fan speed, rear defrost, rear wiper, rear climate fan. However, position, temperature, A/C, and recirculation do not respond.

I have run the blend door calibration test as outlined on this forum. After holding down the rear wiper and recirculation buttons for 5 seconds, it does go into calibration mode. When finished, the recirculation button LED continues to flash.

I then went to a junkyard and bought a Heater-A/C control unit and ran the calibration test on it with the same result.

Can anyone help me out here?

 

Have you had the a/c check for codes with a scanner?

 

No I have not. Is that something AutoZone would be able to do? What result would I be looking for?
