I have an 01 Caravan and the check engine light goes on for a couple of days and dissapear for months and is beign doing the same for the past year. I finally scanned today and it gave me the transmission codes P0605 and P0700. The transmission works and shift perfect. What it could be?? probably bad connectors?? Pretty straight forward code that tells u to replace the Transmission Module...
I've seen those type of codes on car with no effect on performance at all. I assume u are out of waranty, and will pass emission test when code disappear, i wouldn't recommend to throw $500 away for it.

The only way to really resolve this issue is to have someone diagnose the transmission computer. Unfortunately the codes retrieved are done in the engine computer which isn't accurate enough to make an assumption the module needs replacement. The code readers only read PCM or engine computer codes. The trans computer will send a code to the engine computer but it's really generic and not enough information to diagnose the problem correctly.

Welcome to DF
You need to have someone get the trouble code out of the Eatx/transmission controller and post. This way we can start to help.
