Long story short, local dealership changed transmission oil & filter. van worked fine for 2 days and then started leaking ATF from pan seal.

I had to take van for steam cleaning so may be that puntured seal!!

I am wondering if there is any stonger RTV sealant than blue tube sold at dealership?

 

Didn't know we sold blue......I've never seen it.

 

Tube is white with dark blue marking on it. Sealant itself if clear.

But against whats the strongest sealant?

 

The black RTV is what is used on the tranmission pan, The ram trucks use the gray RTV for the rear diff. You can use the gray RTV too, but i would use the black RTV.

 

There is no way steam cleaning will disturb an RTV sealer. Make sure to use the right type of sealer. There are many different colors/compounds for different applications. Ultra Black or Ultra Grey are the best IMHO. Also the 'Right Stuff" is awesome. Comes in a can like cheese whiz.
